Shawntez graduated from Washington Adventist University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. While on the pre-med track, she gained knowledge in the healthcare field by volunteering in the surgical and emergency departments of various hospitals including Shady Grove Medical Center and Washington Adventist University Hospital. Shawntez has also completed her Master of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences with a focus in Biosciences.
Shawntez’s passion lies in helping people. She has additional experience in various medical specialties such as Wound care, Obstetrics, and Immunology. Before starting her master’s degree, Shawntez worked at the National Institute of Health where she engaged with individuals with rare brain conditions. Since finishing her master’s degree, her interest lies in pediatric neurology. She plans to enter the healthcare field in the future as a physician with a focus in pediatric brain disorders.
At MIND ALGN, Shawntez is a certified NeuroTech through Wave Neuroscience and Brain Treatment Center. She is eager about working with patients and expanding her knowledge on brain activity.
